This extraordinary polished brass microscope was manufactured by Dumaige Constructeur, a historic Parisian optical instrument maker located at 24 rue Saint-Merri. Numbered 725, it corresponds to a handcrafted production from the late 19th century (circa 1880), during the height of scientific research in Europe.
The body is made of gold-colored brass, with original fine focus screw and double mirror (flat and concave). It includes its original mahogany wooden box, perfectly preserved, along with various period accessories.
