An elegant mid-1950s 35mm folding camera manufactured in West Germany by the historic optical maker Voigtländer. This refined Vito II a model features the famous Color-Skopar 50mm f/3.5 lens paired with a Prontor-SVS leaf shutter. Built with a compact leatherette-wrapped metal body, a self-erecting drop-down door mechanism, an accessory shoe, and an integrated frame counter. Accompanied by its original fitted brown leather ever-ready case featuring embossed branding and a blue velvet lining. Interestingly, the Vito II a series represents one of the final iterations of high-end 35mm folding cameras before rigid bodies fully dominated the market. Displays superb vintage condition with light, authentic age patina, offered as an untested historical display piece. A handsome mid-century German collectible for photography enthusiasts or retro styling.
