Vintage Brass and Black Desk Lamp

A Mid-Century Modern style desk lamp with Hollywood Regency aesthetic influences (circa 1970s–1980s). Designed as a reading, executive desk, or piano light, it was used to cast a broad, uniform beam of light over work surfaces using its elongated shade mounted on V-shaped double brass rods. It features polished brass accents, a ribbed black finish, and an integrated base switch. It shows minor areas of wear on the black finish, reflecting its age and adding authentic vintage character. As a curious detail, its wide shade housing holds two bulbs side by side to evenly distribute light, preventing harsh shadows while reading or signing documents.
