An exceptional late 1940s 35mm folding rangefinder camera manufactured in Stuttgart, Germany, by Kodak AG. This Retina II (Type 014) model features the highly desirable ultra-fast Schneider-Kreuznach Xenon 50mm f/2 lens paired with a high-speed Compur-Rapid shutter. Constructed with a compact black leatherette-covered metal body, coupled rangefinder, and a folding front strut mechanism. Interestingly, the Retina II series was a favorite pocket tool among post-war photojournalists and travelers due to its world-class optics and pocketable footprint. Displays authentic age patina and light wear on metal edges, offered as an untested historical display piece. A prized addition for serious camera collectors and classic interior styling.
