Antique Perkeo Portable Typewriter

Details

A rare antique portable typewriter manufactured in Dresden, Germany, by C. Clemens Müller AG around 1912 under the Perkeo brand, tailored for the Polish market. Built with a compact cast-iron body finished in black enamel, it features gold front lettering, original branded ribbon spools marked Original-Perkeo-Spule, and glass-window keycaps with Polish function keys (Cofacz, Zmieniacz). Mounted on its original fitted wooden base. Interestingly, the Perkeo was among Europe's earliest true portable typewriter designs, built to offer journalists and travelers a lightweight writing tool. Displays authentic age patina and light surface marks suitable for a centenarian piece, offered as an untested historical display item. A standout collectible for typewriter enthusiasts or vintage interior displays.
