This legendary 8mm movie camera, manufactured in the USA by the prestigious Bell & Howell Company of Chicago (circa 1930-1950), stands out for its rugged, streamlined construction. The piece features a heavy-duty metal body with a characteristic black or dark grey textured "crackle" finish, engineered to withstand outdoor field use and sporting event recordings. One side displays an exceptionally well-preserved burgundy exposure calculator dial, used to determine frame rates and exposure based on weather conditions and subjects.
