An iconic mid-1950s 8mm (Double 8) clockwork movie camera manufactured in West Germany by the renowned Agfa company. This Movex 88L model comes equipped with a fast Agfa Movexar 13mm f/1.9 lens paired with an integrated front-facing honeycomb selenium light meter. Built with a heavy-duty grey-wrinkle enamel aluminum body, ribbed Art Deco chrome front plate, fold-out side winding key, and a beautifully preserved internal film compartment. Interestingly, the Movex 88 series was celebrated for bringing exposure meter coupling into an ultra-compact pocketable body, exemplifying mid-century West German precision engineering. Displays outstanding vintage cosmetic condition with light age patina, offered as an untested historical display piece. A prized accent for vintage cine camera collectors and retro interior display.
